Sarita Pokhrel, MA

Ms. Sarita Pokhrel is the Operations & Training Coordinator at Healing Together Nepal. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and a M.A. in Rural Development. Sarita has more than a decade of experience working with numerous national and international organizations in various capacities such as a teacher, trainer and manager. Specifically, she has worked with the survivors of human trafficking, street children, and those who are at risk of violence, exploitation and trafficking. Sarita has worked in remote communities of Nepal for the prevention of human trafficking, rehabilitation of survivors, and family reunification through school support projects, training of teachers, and community orientation and awareness activities. She has also played a leading role in various women and youth empowerment projects.

 

Sarita also serves as a visiting faculty of School of Arts at Kathmandu University. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, writing, listening to music and traveling.
